Director’s Message

Dear esteemed reader,
Thank you so much for taking time to read about Smiles Children Foundation (SCF).we primary thank the donors that haven’t gone away from us since day one! Smiles Children Foundation started its operation in 2018 firstly covering Rubanda district and some parts of Kabale district. Ever since the start, SCF has touched the lives of over 100 children with over 40% reaching their primary point of self resilience and survival which brings us joy as Smiles children foundation irrespective of the short term of operation.
SCF focuses on working hard towards the betterment of the orphans and the very needy people in Uganda including the vulnerable, the disabled, the oppressed and the abandoned! This focuses on making such category acquire basic education, employable skills towards self survival.

As SCF, we are happy to have survived winds of at the start, the pandemics such as HIV/AIDS, yellow fever, continuous malaria and COVID-19 leaves the number of orphans hiking up everyday.
We currently adore partnership with the like-minded individuals and organizations in order to lift up the vision of SCF, “Transforming Lives in an effort to secure smiles and skills to the orphans and the needy”.

The SCF board and management drew a 5 year strategic plan as depicted in the objectives below;
1:To provide education to orphans and needy children so as to improve formal education in Uganda.
2:To improve on sanitation and personal hygiene for the orphans by easing access to clean and safe water by mobilizing water collection equipment.
3:To re-integrate the orphans and abandoned children into their ancestral homes after acquiring vital skills that can make them survive.
4:To establish a rehabilitation center for both orphans and vulnerable from across Uganda.
